Today leading password manager LastPass is going “passwordless”. It means that to log into LastPass Vault you won’t need to type your master password anymore and instead you will authenticate with a push notification sent to LastPass authenticator installed on your phone.

More and more services will go passwordless in the future so this is a good time to review how authenticators and two factor authentication (2FA) work. Happy reading and be safe with 2FA!

Google has just announced a number of improved security features. An interesting one is the possibility to create virtual credit cards to avoid using your real credit card number for online shopping. Hopefully this will help the theft of credit card details.

As already mentioned in the security advice section, you don’t need an antivirus app on your phone, whether Android or Apple. This excellent article from Android Central explains why. Just don’t jailbreak your device and you’ll be fine.
